How This Product Works 4 of the switch's 8 auto-negotiating RJ45 ports (port 1 to port 4) support Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality. These PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power to IEEE 802.3af compliant PDs (Powered Devices). For example, Ports 1, 2, and 4 are using 15.4W (maximum power per port is 15.4W), the total system power is 46.2W (max PoE LED is red). If an additional PD is inserted into Port 3 with 10W, the system will isolate Port 4 to protect the system.
