Description
"TL-SG1016D 16-Port Gigabit Switch Features: 16 10/100/1000 Mbps ports Innovative energy-efficient technology saves up to 40%* of power Supports MAC address auto-learning and auto MDI/MDIX Plug & Play design What this product does TP-LINK's TL-SG1016D is a 16-port Gigabit switch that allows you to easily migrate to Gigabit Ethernet technology. All 16 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, so you don't have to worry about which cable to use: just plug it in and you're good to go. Thanks to its innovative energy-efficient technology, the TL-SG1016D saves up to 40%* of electrical power, making it an eco-friendly solution for your home or workplace network. Gigabit Switch The TL-SG1016D has 16 10/100/1000 Mbps ports that allow you to significantly expand your network's capacity and enjoy instant transfer speeds when handling large files. This way, advanced users have enough bandwidth to transfer large files, whether in a home, office, workgroup, or creative production environment. Transfer graphic, CGI, CAD, or multimedia files instantly across the network. Go Green with Your Ethernet Now you have the opportunity to make your network eco-friendly while upgrading it to Gigabit technology. The new generation TL-SG1016D desktop switch is equipped with 16 Gigabit ports and incorporates the latest and most innovative energy-efficient technology. This allows you to expand your network's capacity using much less power. It automatically adjusts power consumption according to link status and cable length, thus limiting your network's carbon footprint. Non-active Port Shutdown In a traditional switch, when a computer or other network device is turned off, the corresponding port continues to consume a significant amount of power. The TL-SG1016D automatically detects the link status of each port and reduces the power consumption of those that are not active. Power Consumption According to Cable Length Ideally, a shorter cable should consume less power because the power loss is less. However, this is not the case with most devices, as they use the same power regardless of whether the cable length is 10 or 50 meters. The TL-SG1016D analyzes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts power consumption accordingly instead of keeping it constant as with conventional devices. Easy to Use The automatic features of this Gigabit switch allow for hassle-free Plug and Play installation. No configuration is required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. The auto-sensing feature on the ports identifies the network device's link speed (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts it to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. * Maximum power savings compared to a traditional TP-LINK switch. The final saving percentage may vary depending on usage conditions. Innovative energy-efficient technology saves up to 40% power Supports IEEE 802.3x flow control in Full Duplex mode and Back-Pressure in Half Duplex mode Non-blocking switching architecture for forwarding and filtering packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. 32 Gbps switching capacity Incorporates 10K jumbo frame to improve performance of large file transfers Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Supports automatic MAC address learning and aging (Auto-Learning and Auto-aging) Store-and-Forward switching function Intelligent integration of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps hardware through auto-negotiation ports.
